Mammut has decided to focus in the future on its core business – high-quality products for your experiences in the mountains. That's why Mammut is now a sponsoring partner of the Mountain School UK.

First things first: nothing will change for you.

All booked activities are taking place as planned and remain available with the Mountain School UK. You can find additional information about the handover and answers to any questions you may have in the Q&A below.

  • The Mammut Mountain School UK has developed in a very positive way as a mountain school. However, Mammut’s core business is producing high-quality outdoor products designed for mountain experiences. The Mammut Mountain School UK, as an additional asset, increased the internal complexity at Mammut. With the decision to focus on its core business, Mammut and the Mammut Mountain School UK’s owner (Sam Sykes) concluded that rebranding the school was in the best interests of everyone.

  • This step does not lead to any noticeable changes for you as a customer. All booked activities are taking place as planned and remain available under the management of the Mountain School UK.

  • Beginning in January 2023, the Mountain School UK will replace the Mammut Mountain School UK.

  • The location in Kendal is still owned by Sam Sykes, who will continue to operate the Mountain School UK from the same HQ. 

  • Mammut remains the Mountain School UK equipment partner. Therefore, this service will remain available on selected courses, just like before.

  • The rebrand of the Mammut Mountain School UK to Mountain School UK is a sign of continuity – all staff will remain the same.

  • The handover will foster the long-standing partnership between Mammut and the Mountain School UK in the long term. The company Mammut, the Mountain School UK and its customers will benefit from this step.

  • The Mammut Mountain School UK will become the Mountain School UK. This will happen in January 2023.

  • All vouchers will remain valid after the rebrand and can be used for all courses as usual with the Mountain School UK.
